Basically if you check your IP at myip,dk and checkmytorrentip.com and both of them return the VPN's server, you're safe to say you're protected and any external checks will show you as connecting from our server's IP. Any other sites may use a different method of IP checking or may store your IP information.

If you're really concerned about leaking your IP details. I suggest using Comodo firewall to ensure no leaks happen if your connection to the VPN server is lost unexpectedly.

I'm having the same issue but when I check the site you refer to, it gives me my public address.  I am on a Mac.

Which server are you connecting to, and please provide the logs from the GUI.

This is happening whenever I use a proxy connection (Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland).  I will post my logs in a second.

Warning Message
Connecting to Proxy - Germany (happens the same with the other proxy connections)
added xxxxxxx to personal information otherwise untouched

This computer's apparent public IP address was not different after connecting to Proxied-Germany. It is still xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.

This may mean that your VPN is not configured correctly.

Did you configure your browsers proxy settings to use our servers? Using our Proxied servers, only programs which you configure to will use our servers. Thus if you haven't setup your browser properly, it'll use your default connection and thus your real IP and details. For more details, http://bolehvpn.net/serv_bolehvpn_inst-03.php

I only use the proxy servers for p2p (Vuze) and that is already configured.  Let me configure one of my browsers to make sure things are working correctly

I'm a little confused by this too.  I am connected to Netherlands proxied. My browser is configured to run proxied too.   The Bolehvpn GUI shows my server as 85.17.121.193 which I believe is correct.  The Bolehvpm GUI  also shows my public IP as my actual IP address and proper country.  If I use http://geoip.bolehvpn.net/testip.php it shows me on the Bolehvpn Netherlands server but if I use http://checkmytorrentip.com/  it shows a 192.168. XXX which is similar to but not exactly my wireless router's IP address.  Is my IP hidden from a search or not?

Did you make sure to hit Generate torrent first? Go to checkmytorrentip.com, click on Generate Torrent then hit Generate Tracking Torrent. It should automatically switch you to the Check IP tab after that, hit refresh and you should see a public IP that will be the Netherlands server. Checkmytorrentip won't work properly in displaying your public torrent IP if you don't generate the test torrent properly.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.  That's one of the reasons I tell everyone of my friends about Bolehvpn.  Your instructions were right on and everthing is working fine on my end.  Thanks for the explanation and wonderful service.
