« on: September 01, 2010, 01:16:02 PM »
hello
i just found out about bolehvpn and have a few questions

my internet connection is mostly for downloading torrent and surfing i dont really play much online games so which is better, to use the bolehroute or the PrivateTracker/PublicTracker.  using utorrent software.
using streamyx 1mb connection

next im using a router that has port forwarding for utorrent. should i take the portforwarding out?

anyway im going to give it a try. will bank in the money later.

Both have its pros and cons. If you're just downloading, then BolehRoute is better but PrivateTracker/PublicTracker should be for most purposes almost the same speed. For surfing, best to use PublicTracker/PrivateTracker as it won't go through the VPN and your surfing will remain unaffected by the additional routes your surfing has to take through the VPN.

Nope keep the port forwarding there.

Or you can use publictracker/privatetracker which would keep your surfing using your normal connection.

jambu21: can you try uninstalling and then reinstalling utorrent? make sure that when you're uninstalling you click delete settings.

Please note that the following information is for informational purposes and should not be construed to mean that we are endorsing a particular tracker.

Public trackers allows you to download without a registered account - they are open to the general public. They are highly popular but also heavily monitored by anti-p2p organizations and are rife with fake files and poor quality downloads. Examples are: PirateBay, Mininova, EZTV.

Private trackers are harder to get access to, and generally require registration, or an invite from a long standing member within the community. They tend to be a lot faster, more secure but may have slightly less choice than public trackers. Examples are: IPTorrents, HDBits, SuperTorrents, RevolutionTT

When downloading from a Public tracker, please ensure you're connected to our 'PublicTracker configurations' via OpenVPN or you may experience errors. If you are downloading both private and public torrents at the same time, use the PublicTracker servers. You are allowed to download from private trackers (e.g. IPTorrents) while using our Publictracker servers.
