IP Address as seen by private tracker when connected to DC-1

Hi Guys, i'm was just looking through some private tracker stats page. The page displays an IP address which according to it is the last seen IP, and the IP seems to be 202.76.226.1xx, which based on WHOIS is a malaysian IP range. Was wondering if this is normal? (Sometimes though it displays the IP 60.50.x.x etc)

If you don't use the http proxy it will show your own IP address.

Hi Reuben, thanks for your ultra quick response:) I've configured uTorrent to use 10.10.10.1 1080 as the proxy and configured the internet settings on that machine to use the same proxy and on the port in the IE setup guide. Was wondering if that's what you mean by http proxy?

Yes but don't use it within IE, IE works weird depending if u are using a dialin or a router. Use firefox.

Will use firefox when I get back:) Thanks Rueben. However, is there anything I can do on the uTorrent end? The tracker (from my statistics page) is currently still seeing the 202.76.226.1xx IP. If uTorrent is configured to use the proxy server, should the tracker see the proxy's IP?

Not sure if I got this right, I assume that when I open up the stats page on my username on a private tracker, the IP address being displayed is the IP which the tracker update request is coming from. Since uTorrent is configured to use the proxy, should it not see the proxy's IP instead of 202.76.226.1xx?

Hi Rueben, my apologies, I think I've figured out my own question. The IP being displayed is the IP i am currently accesing the tracker from, not the machine connected to the VPN  Sorry about that
