Media Player Classic Home Cinema
« on: November 07, 2008, 01:22:12 AM »
Those of you familiar with Media Player Classic might find this even more useful.

Features:
- DXVA support for H264 and VC-1
- No external codecs; just this one EXE
- Plays pretty much every media file (that I care to try)

Who needs fancy-schmancy WMP or MCE when this little software can do all that? ;D

Latest versions here for those who need orange seats:

or
http://www.xvidvideo.ru/ (thanks petala; slow due to the location; unstable but latest)

Do I need to uninstall the old mpc version that I have now or when I install this new one it will automatically update the old version? I got cccp running with the old one.
I wish I had 4 hands and 2 dicks so I could fap twice as much and still have 2 hands free.

you can run it just like that
just need to reassign as default player from mpc to mpchc

in mpchc, go to "view" menu > options > under "player" > format > click "video" button then "apply" , then close mpchc

next time you play video files it will automatically run on mpchc

I seem to be having issues displaying subtitles for anime.
Anybody else having issue.
Subtitles can display with normal MPC + http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/

Why bother? Everything's already included in mpchc. Also, ffdshow doesn't have DXVA support.

@pkrisnin: The instructions are on the homepage had you actually read it.

I'm trying to answer this problem "issues displaying subtitles for anime"
The simplest way is too just install cccp.

Other than that, for anime viewer especially for HD or mkv files. Fansubers now like to do softsub or removable subtitle. All anime softsubs aren't subpictures, like on a DVD but still unrender text that is render live by the filter.

*edit*
the follwoing is compy and paste
With a DxVA decoder, the encoded video data is sent, by the decoder filter, to your graphics card's memory and decoded by the gfx card. The decoded data, still on the gfx card's memory, is then displayed by the GFX card as an overlay on the screen.

However... To blend the subtitles onto the video, DirectVobSub needs access to the decoded video. This means that after decoding is done on the gfx card, the decoded video has to be moved back from the gfx card to your main memory so DirectVobSub can work with it, then sent back to the gfx card for display. As far as I know the decoder, even if it supports DxVA will stop using it in these circumstances and fall back to software decoding using your main CPU.
*end of copy*

So, i can normal moive watch. u can just download mpchc or cccp and reconfig to ur needs just in case so weird codec shows up.
Anime fans thats watches softsubed. I recommend cccp primary its simple and near 100% noob prove

I'm using x264 mkv 95% of the time and I don't have any issues with mpchc at all. In fact, I haven't touched ffdshow for over a year.

My version of mpchc was released March 10th, 2009. I didn't realize a "decade" in "internet terms" is equal to 1 month in reality.

sadly, I found out I force to go back and use ffdshow cuz dxva cannot help in processing softsubs
