Title: How long does it take for the service to activate?

Ordered it about half hour ago (active from the 15th, today) and still sends me to the order page whenever I attempt to connect.

Excellent. I did see that but I'm just too used to things updating by themselves these days.

You can have your BolehVPN client update every time you start it, check the Settings tab there is an option for automatic Updates. By default it's set to every week, but you can change it to every startup.
