How do I check the "route" my ISP is using for my connection?

I'd like to figure out for sure, instead of randomly trying different programs and methods. Does it have to do with the ping rate?

PingPlotter looks interesting...

Sometimes it's best to show new users tools that the OS already has to help them, in this situation, traceroute;

Of course running a ping to an IP helps to show you how fast and any packet loss

In the end, since I moved over to Linux mint, I went for mdr <ip> and namebench.

Still, these links will be helpful if say, I've to get back into Windows. :p

Ahh yes I should of been paying better attention when you replied in one of the Linux tutorials being on Mint.

mdr <ip> and namebench, hmm I've never heard of this before?
