Title: Piratebay and Demonoid both offline for now... are we safe?
Post by: awyoung on August 30, 2012, 04:25:53 PM
Some entity is attacking these sites and now have hired companies to track down torrents and record shares.... are we safe? Article here on the article on the "Anti-Pirates"

http://torrentfreak.com/anti-pirates-caught-spying-on-thousands-of-torrents-120829/ (http://torrentfreak.com/anti-pirates-caught-spying-on-thousands-of-torrents-120829/)

Question now is, are we safe from these anti-pirates? Especially for those of us in the USA.

You're not safer using Usenet if you're using US services like Giganews.
That company also gets DMCA notices and closes offender's accounts.
I guess it's the same as Vpns : use servers based in  p2p friendly countries.
