Looking for a portable wireless mouse for my notebook.
Requirements
1. Can work on a great variety of surfaces
2. Portable and small but comfortable enough
3. NOT Bluetooth based
4. Good performance
Any suggestions?
I used a Gigabyte which was quite good: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3052#ov but as I gave that to my sister require a replacement and was hoping for something better.

I've been using a Logitech V220 for several months now. I like it enough that I use it as my main desktop mouse. It took a day or so to get used to using it instead of my Logitech G5, which I still use for gaming, but I like that there's airflow between my palm and the V220. Groping that G5 for any length of time leads to sweaty palms after a while.

got A4tech mouse few years back...the mouse rubber seem like will decompose by our sweat after sometime u didnt use it...
better stay away if u looking for a mouse that can use more than 1.5yrs :)
i use to have logitech G5 which are good if u put in full weight (too bad i leave it in m'sia for my wife use). now i am using microsoft sidewinder which i feel the quality is not as good as this G5..cos very light. both this 2 G5 and side winder is a wired mouse...
now i am thinking to upgrade to logitech http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/mice-pointers/mice/devices/5845 (http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/mice-pointers/mice/devices/5845) performance MX but no money yet..stay tune for the review :P

lol I always preferred no weight. It seemed to help with precision in FPSs.

My favorite wireless mouse to date is Logitech's M505. It's about normal sized and uses 2 AA batteries, so it's heavier than mice than run on 1 AA or AAA's, but it simply has the best feel of any mouse I've tried. I think the weight gives it a little extra stability compared to some of my lighter mice. Also the scroll wheel is silent, which I prefer to the ones that click.

I'm drooling over the Logitech M950. Darkfield. Wireless. Rechargeable. Mmm...

I'm still using a Logitech G7. Anyone know if the new G7x is at Low Yat?

Why don't want to use Bluetooth based? It can save you a USB port. Recently I order a notebook for my office, they give a notebook with only two USB port and a laser wireless mouse with dongle, Now I only have one USB port to use.

Find that the bluetooth range is a bit smaller, it's ok with a notebook but not so great with desktops
