Title: Q: Can VPN work for Maxis Net?

Hi, I found your page through FB. And am pretty interested in unlocking my torrent downloads.
Currently I'm using Maxis Net and was wondering if VPN can help me out.
Anyone using VPN currently with Maxis Net?

wireless or wired?

it should work with both but works less well with wireless if the signal is bad.

In other words, Bvpn works with maxis and celcom wireless broadband right? Is it recommended or not to use vpn with these two? Thought of trying them ???

Celcom we haven't found a way past the 5 gb limit though it does bypass the throttle. I'm not sure if the Maxis trick still works.

But we wouldn't recommend using it if u had a choice between wired and wireless. Don't expect to get the full 3.6 mbps advertised. You'll be lucky if u got 512 from that

so, it means that we can use BVPN without any limited usage for Maxis Broadband ? I'm using the wireless starter package. download speed around 20kB/s. was thinking of downloading more files  ;D

I wouldn't know if it bypasses the download limit for Maxis but someone mentioned it's possible. My partner who uses Maxis broadband wireless says there's no limit but I wouldn't be able to comment.

However it should unthrottle any traffic shaping that Maxis has put in place.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Just a one more stupid questions...by installing this VPN, will it make my surfing speed faster? I can't view YouTube with my current connection but I can't blame anyone cos it's the slowest package.

No it does not increase surfing/streaming speed.
