Title: playing files larger than 4GB on PS3

hi guys. as the topic says, how can i make a PS3 play a media file larger than 4GB in size? as far as i know, it cant, because of the PS3s hdd file system. thanks.

You can't as far as i know.You would have to split the file.

Was thinking of getting 1 Games + media player but PS3 is basically useless as a media player.
So many restrictions.

PS3 is awesome in conjunction with this free Media Server http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/

Natively, the PS3 is pretty crap but honestly I stream everything through it using this software, and provided you're not using wireless to stream (LAN cable solves bandwith issues when streaming HD) it's flawless.  Even supports full surround :)
