BolehStream
« on: December 14, 2013, 11:32:41 AM »
How does BolehStream works?
Does it only work with content locked in US?

How would this new system integrate with BolehVPN? New standalone package possible or just another extra features to all BolehVPN subscriber in the future?
I know it's only available for 2 years subscriber now.

Identifies you as being from the USA without having to go through the VPN.

For now, yes.

Depends on demand, though it'll most likely be released as another feature to everyone.

Just got to try the BolehStream and looks like it'll only route the traffic to BolehVPN if I'm accessing one of those nine sites?
Otherwise, it'll skip the VPN.
Is that what it's doing right now?

No, it confuses the site into believing that you are from the USA without routing your traffic through a VPN server. So you have a direct connection between you and the website, it just thinks you're from the USA. No VPN involved at all, which should be faster but comes with the price of no VPN security.

I see. This is interesting.

So, it'll only confuse those nine sites and potentially more sites in the future?

Yes. We just added new rules for Amazon Instant streaming as well, that should work.

If you have any ideas or requests, we'd love to hear them!

It has been a while since I last used BolehStream (BolehGeo now) again and I can't seems to get it working both on Netflix and Hulu.
On netflix, I'm being redirected to a global signup page and on Hulu, a warning screen says that the content is only available in the US.

I want to keep all my other application to run normally on my Internet connection while allowing me to view content on US locked content such as Hulu/Netflix.
Can anyone help, please?

Post the logs from the BolehVPN client please.

Additionally, try a different browser, clear the cache and cookies.

Go to www.dnsleaktest.com when the BolehGEO is connected and run a test, post your results here
