Replacement for gmail?

Having read this http://www.google.com.my/intl/en/policies/privacy/ i dont think gmail is very secure-google maintains logs of everything.

Just to say i wont use the email account for anything illegal-i just dont want google to own my personal infomation. Surely there must be more private email providers?

I heard Hushmail is pretty good. Maybe someone else has a better suggestion though

If you are looking for something geared more toward privacy. You might want to check out https://lavabit.com/ or possibly even tor mail. Though it can only be logged into while using tor. check it out: http://tormail.net/
