Bypassing OpenDNS
« on: March 08, 2017, 08:53:39 AM »
I recently started using the fully routed server, and my schools network restrictions were bypassed perfectly. However, I recently ran into the issue of some sites still being blocked, I am met with a custom OpenDNS blocked page with my schools logo. Some other sites still can be bypassed just fine. Why is this? How do I get past this, theres no point in having a VPN if things are still blocked. This is a serious leak as it can still clearly detect that I am on my schools internet.

If you are running Windows, make sure the 'Enable DNS Leak Protection' option in the BolehVPN client is turned on and that you have clicked on the Save Options button.

You also might want to look into plugins/extensions that blocks WebRTC on your browser, as WebRTC is known to leak DNS.
