How much for the "Dark XTREEM PC2 8500 2GB Kit (DDR2 1066 1GBX2) 5-5-5-15"? Not happy with my E8400 being stuck at only 3.6GHz. :D

i like the look of the Zotac 790i but also only supports up to 8g ram, and uses ddr3 2000 ram, which ive never heard of before, has space for another GFX card which is nice, the geforce 9300 can take up to 16g of ram but 800 type only?, and can only take one GFX card, why must they be so difficult...lol

btw RAM past a certain point is useless.. Anything above 4 gigs on a personal computer at this point in time does not show any benefit.

Also RAM speeds are not that apparent in real usage.

What you want to do is match a good processor with an appropriate RAM speed.

well 3gigs is not enough to work properly whilst editing large images, i have memory allocated at 90% of the sytem memory and it is very slow and takes forever to process a basic command, the less i allocate the slower it works.
Hence the need to get better components, why have they got space for up to 16 gigs on that motherboard i mentioned above, if the memory wont work?

Erun do you have 1 GB DDR PC2700/PC3200 184 pin memory
I'm looking to upgrade my Dell dimension 2400.
The following link seems to give all the config. that can be supported by my system
