Tech savvy people on this friendly and welcoming board
Lol tech savvy yes but I don't know if I would describe the people as "friendly and welcoming"
More like grumpy but generally well meaning. Or am I just talking about Schadenfreude hahah.
But anonymous and encrypted aren't necessarily the same thing so you gotta get this concept down
Encryption means I can't read what you're sending. Anonymity means I don't know who it's from.
I understand the general wish of being anonymous, but it is a bit puzzling if you don't want to be identifiable especially to the recipient of the e-mail.
I do like hushmail.com though so it's worth taking a look at that.
However:
“[Hushmail] is useful for avoiding general Carnivore-type government surveillance, and protecting your data from hackers, but definitely not suitable for protecting your data if you are engaging in illegal activity that could result in a Canadian court order.”
There's also countermail that seems to know what they're talking about though I cannot attest to them since I haven't used them before.
There's also the free Anonemail
http://anonymouse.org/anonemail.html which will randomly delay your e-mail to further protect your privacy.
Though really, seems like a lot of work. If people want to take the effort to trace my love e-mails back to me, I'm totally ok with that. Just for laughs, here's a comic in the attachment
