Emule Instructions

You should use the modified Emule Client recommended by Atavus in the post below:

Quote
Please do not use the official eMule client because most of the security options are not enabled by default. Download the popular eMule mod MorphXT from the following URL:

http://emulemorph.sourceforge.net/modules.php?name=Downloads

1. Click on Options

2. Click on Proxy

Set it up exactly as below:

3. Click on Connections

Set your Capacities, Limits and Connection Limits as below.
Failure to set your Connection Limits as below may results in a ban.

4. Securing your Emule

You should secure your Emule to prevent it from being listened in by Anti p2p organizations. This can be done by following Atavus instructions in the post below.

You are ready to use the VPN for emule downloads. Please note that you may get the 'low id' message due to the use of the proxy but this is nothing to be concerned about and is normal.

If you wish to get High ID, use BolehRoute and follow Atavus' instructions in the post below exactly.

A more indepth and detailed guide, written by our loyal customer Atavus.

Please do not use the official eMule client because most of the security options are not enabled by default. Download the popular eMule mod MorphXT from the following URL:

http://emulemorph.sourceforge.net/modules.php?name=Downloads

Always make sure your client is updated for latest security fixes and client improvements. Once the installation is complete run MorphXT & cancel the wizard that pops up.

   1. Click On Options

   2. Click On Connections:

Set your Capacities, Limits and Connection Limits as below.
Failure to set your Connection Limits as below may result in a ban.

It is also recommended you follow the other settings. There is a bug in the latest version of MorphXT v11.3 with UPnP and you might want to disable the function. If your connection is dropping every 50 – 60 minutes turn off UPnP!

   3. Click On Server:

Follow the settings exactly to avoid connecting to the multitude of fake servers in the network! After making sure the settings are set exactly as shown in the screenshot:

Click on the list button and a notepad window should pop up with the title address.dat. Copy/paste the links below and then save the file:

http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz

http://www.peerates.net/servers.php

   4. Click On Security:

Make sure to follow the settings exactly. Take particular note on the option “Filter Servers Too” and make sure that is checked.

   5. Click On Mod Options > Morph Update:

Follow the settings exactly. Make sure that you've checked "Update IPFilter.dat on startup" and "Update weekly". Also take note of the version number and try to make updates at least once a week or better daily. You can check to see if the ipfilter is updated by tracking the version number.  The URL listed in the screenshot should be there by default and if not click on Reset and then Update. You can also use alternative site like:

http://surfnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/emulepawcio/ipfilter.dat

   6. Go back to Security and click Reload. Check your log under servers to make sure the client has loaded the IP filter. You only need to do this once as the IP Filter will be loaded on every startup. Make sure NOBODY can see your share directories as tracking companies usually need a screenshot of your share directory as proof before they can send an infringement notice.

   7. Go to Mod options  > Morph Share and set Show Permission to Hidden.

   8. You are done! Lastly, try not use the search function in the client as most of the files are fakes. If you need to look for files try ed2k sites for verified links in order to avoid fake files or tracking companies. If you have further inquires please PM Atavus in the forum and he will reply when available.
