Tmnut unthrottled bittorrent?
« on: June 19, 2012, 04:51:28 PM »
Call me slowpoke but since the past few weeks I noticed my download speed for bittorrent is no longer throttled like usual. I'm surprised to find out I can now max out my download bandwidth on bittorrent without using vpn or other secure tunneling method. Apparently it isn't just me, few other friends of mine from other part of M'sia also said the same thing is happening to their streamyx.

Did tmnut finally relax their traffic shapping on bittorrent? :o

I did notice this for a bit too :D But it is nothing new. There has always been times where the throttle has been removed and then slapped back on later usually when they are performing some sort of upgrades.

Incidentally there's maintenance going on in several parts of Malaysia. According to their hotline, Penang, Perak PJ and some other parts. So your routing might be screwed up like my friend in Ipoh. Or you might lose your connection for a couple of hours.

aha..it got me worried for a while..I thought they lifted the traffic shaping in preparation for implementing traffic quota or something to that effect lol
