Is this right?
« on: February 09, 2011, 08:13:05 AM »
Hi, i'm new to bolehvpn.

I'm having a really bad time after going through some of the FAQ and guides because i'm getting contradicting results? Here are my issues:

#1
I was really frustrated by following the "Applying for Support" instructions.

I followed the instructions on the sticky thread and all I got was this:

Quote
An Error Has Occurred!
You are not allowed to access this section

I have no idea what recourse to take and I wasted a good 15 minutes trying.

#2
This is what I really wanted to ask Support - In the Installation Guide, it says this:

Quote
Wait till the light turns green. Give it a few minutes (usually less) as it looks for a free server for you to connect.

You are now connected to BolehVPN! You can verify this by visiting this site which should give you an IP address that is either in the UK or in Luxembourg.

When I clicked the link.. it showed me this:

IP Information: 118.100.127.91
ISP:   Telekom Malaysia Berhad
Organization:   Telekom Malaysia Berhad

Is this normal..? Is that a UK or Lux IP? I did notice a significant(but not phenomenal) improvement from being throttled by TMnet, but just making sure that I didn't screw up somewhere.

Depends on which configuration in OpenVPN you're connected to. Could you post your log? Right click the OpenVPN icon, select whichever config you're connected to, then click 'View log'.

Also, you need to apply for group access to the BolehVPN Subscribers group.

Says so right here lol http://www.bolehvpn.net/forum/index.php/topic,5524.0.html Anyway I've upgraded you so you don't need to apply for support access.

That's not your BolehRoute log is it? If you connect successfully to BolehRoute you should see a different IP. Could you post your BolehRoute log?

Are you still connected to the publictracker config when you're trying to connect to BolehRoute? Did you have any other VPNs on at that time?

If yes, please disconnect from the publictracker config / any other VPNs and try again.

Hi Chris,

I had disconnected from the publictracker before connecting to bolehroute.

It wouldn't allow me to connect to bolehroute before disconnecting from publictracker.

I don't think I have any other VPNs on.
