Title: Problem with HULU.

Hello,

I currently have my dd-wrt router vpning into the USA ip address.  All apps work(ie USA Netflix, Amazon prime) but
HULU gives a warning:  It appears you are using an anonymous proxy tool.  And it does not load anything.

Can anyone help?

Hi Scott,

Seems that Hulu has updated their blocker. We're working on a solution, currently testing it out and should be released very soon.

I downloaded latest keys.  Updated my dd-wrt router and got the US streaming IP up and running.  I could not get the Geo-DNS IP
address working.  I tried it from my laptop using the boleh dashboard and get "unknown error please check log."  Here is he log:

Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Saved Gateway:

route add 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1

Chris, I too am having some issues with Hulu, but it could be on my side. I'm able to connect to most streaming services using the SurfingStreaming servers, and I can connect to the GEO-DNS server, but it does not seem to perform its "trickery" as I cannot get any streaming services to think that I am in the US or anywhere but my actual location. Hopefully, you can provide some guidance! Thanks!

Update your config files to the latest version and connect to GEO-DNS. If you are using GUI, go to settings and click update config button. That's all to it.

Yep, did that. Even re-installed the GUI. With a good connection to the server and solid internet connection, unless my computer is circumventing the TAP when I'm using the GEO-DNS, I'm not sure what the issue is. All of the other servers work as advertised.

When you try to connect, it can't connect at all and you ping the server just fine? AND you can connect to any of our other servers?

There is another server at a different address but you need to edit the GEO ovpn manually and comment out the 1st server.
See if you get the same error.

open a support ticket (email us) and run a mtr or winmtr to the server IP and send us the result in your ticket.
I get ajay to do a quick TV to check whats up with your setup.

I'm having the same difficulties now as well, I just checked Hulu & Netflix US because someone wanted me to check something for them on both and the GEO DNS STREAMING server seems kaput, even though the GUI says it's connected and the server IP address is 52.25..118.220, neither Hulu or Netflix work at all, they still think I'm in my host country, I can however check Netflix out with the Surfing Streaming server which is an upside but not Hulu, in fact it's safe to say all your IP and DNS server addresses have been black listed by Hulu, which is pretty common now days but I'm still curious to know if you guys are working on this at all anymore, as it's been pretty quite on this front? It would be nice to be able to view Hulu but personally I'm not that worried about it, as I don't see the need to view it but some of my friends do and obviously a few of your other customers do too. :/

dd-wrt since last years releases support xCloak, so why wouldn't an xCloak server work, if you're using a recent dd-wrt firmware?

I have a recent version of dd-wrt and I've used xCloak servers in it...

Pretty sure Hulu has blacklisted ALL Boleh VPN IP/DNS addresses as nothing works at all, they detect every thing as an anonymous proxy, so I can't see how using a 3rd party flash router would make a difference? :/

Making sure you are using the latest DD-WRT allows to use the xCloak servers which are obfuscated vpn.

By using obfuscated vpn, a service can not tell you are using a VPN, it's not suppose to be possible.

Sorry I'm not sure I understand the above discussion. Are we now able to view HULU?

I can connect the various boleh servers for US streaming (eg. those with US streaming in server name and the GEO dns server) but hulu always gives me the  "Based in your IP address, we noticed you are trying to access Hulu through an anonymous proxy....." error message when I try to view something.

I've updated the boleh GUI. Are there additional steps I need to take such as cloaking openvpn?

We have a fix that involves some hackery but prefer to disclose it in a support ticket.
