After update, "Unknown Error, please check log"

I got the dreaded "Unknown Error, please check log" after updating to 2.4.5 64.

Nogo on....
- Uninstall, reboot, install, reboot
- Delete tap, add tap
- Reset networking[/li][/list]


So I did the obvious on a 32bit system.
Installed the 32bit version. 
All better.
