Looks nice, is that the best graphics card nvidia do at the mo?
-
Nope it's their mid range.
Their top end is expected to cost more than 2 k.
-
Thats the one i want, what is it called?
-
how does the two cards work surely i have to have a special motherboard to have two graphics cards, coz id rather get two 96 hundridz, with thw ???new sli technology???
-
it's called SLI
They are joined with a SLI connector.
Btw the new 9800 GX 2 (the 2 k one) is basically two G92 cores (the 8800 GT core) joined together on one card. so it's basically 8800 GT on SLI but apparently performs worse.
-
ya i reckon im gonna go for the dual 9600z
-
i need a price on two 9600z with the sli attachment so i can run two cards
-
Do you have a mobo that supports SLI?
it's the mobo that comes with the connector usually.
-
Not sure, its an Intel board, model number DP965LT, aaah shit it says graphics interface pci express so i dont think i can do two

oh well yeah urs doesn't have two pci-e x16
-
ya it has 3 pci express, but only one 16x pci graphics connecter, so im probably better off waiting for the 800 nine range
-
do you know when that card is available this side?
-
what would be more cost efficient is to just get a new mobo and the two cards :D
-
surely i wont be able to pick up a mobo for 700RM coz the cards are 1320 for two, and the 9800 will be 2 Gorrillas, or around there
-
can you recommend a mobo?
-

EVGA nForce 680i SLI Motherboard - A1 Version, NVIDIA nForce 680i, Socket 775, ATX, Audio, PCI Express, SLI, Dual Gigabit LAN, S/PDIF, USB 2.0 & Firewire, Serial ATA, RAID
but to find this mobo here is another story
-
how about i geta new mobo [no idea which one], and get another 8800 gts 320mb and pair it with the one i got now, that should be kickass and cheaper?
-
the 9600 perform well for mid entry 9 series...i guess..
right now better stick to 8800 gts coz it surpass th 9600...
if u really want to upgrade better save sum money about 2k to buy 9800 GTX or GTS...
save 3k if u rich to wait for XFX...
their card might surely surpass other vendor...
after all it is the best company in using nVidia graphic chip...
-
he's using an old GTS not the new one Darth.
-
owh...
still...
stick wit it 4 a while...
buying mid level might not satisfy ur gaming need...
