Disconnecting a VPN connection in ubentu

Excuse me

I've vpn server and client. I want to connect the client to the server using OpenVPN.

If I finish my work in the client, what are the different options to securely disconnecting the VPN connections?

I know two of them, Ctrl + C or -vpn disconnect

You can always stop the openvpn service as well.
