Quick/Easy question
« on: June 16, 2011, 08:27:23 AM »
I am a current client and had a question. On my bolehvpn v0.2.1, it says i am connected to the server but my public ip adress does not change (and it used to change to the server ip).  I test my IP at http://whatismyipaddress.com/ and it says I am located on one of the servers.
Am i being protected or not?
For any of my downloading or other internet activities, what is my public IP? What does my internet service provider see?

(i am rephrasing the question so there is no dispute about what I am asking. Thank you!!)

Which server are u connected to?

If u're on a proxied connection it would not change on the client but as long as ur browser reports the correct IP (which you may be using the HTTP proxy).

I apologize for the late reply. I was out of town.

This picture is what I see.  My "public IP" on the program does not change (and my public ip used to change to the server I was connected to).  I am fully-routed - I do so "just in case".
I use "http://whatismyipaddress.com/" to see what my ip adress is.  The ip listed on the site says I am using the vpn.
This is all I know about VPNs.
So based on this information is it possible to tell me if I am protected/connected to the vpn?  Does it matter if the boleh program shows my public ip as my own, and not that of the server?

What version of the BolehVPN-Gui are you using? Could you post your log for the Fully-Routed All config?

Update to the latest version (after uninstalling the old one) http://www.bolehvpn.net/install.html

Then go to http://www.myip.dk instead
