Can BolehVPN be used on iPad to view iPlayer?

Reuben can we use the IPsec on the computer?

I used Shrew Soft in the past for a client in Linux, quite nice, can't remember if it was straight IPSec or with L2TP...

Hi Reuben, well I don't know if this is true but I was told in the past that since IPsec is a protocol it has better security...

But I've done some reading in the past, surfing online, I've yet to really find anything that shows this to be true, most places I've read seem to show OpenVPN to be as secure...

L2TP/IPSec and OpenVPN I would say are equally secure. L2TP/IPSec is just the most widely used type of corporate VPN out there and therefore has more 'history' and native support in devices. iVPN's summary pretty much sums it up. Also as the way we implement L2TP/IPSec is WITHOUT certificates for convenience sake (since we're talking about casual privacy here with your iPad/iPhone at wifi hotspots and such), it is less secure than our OpenVPN implementation.

We may work on improving this but I think most people who use their iPads aren't doing some extremely sensitive stuff on it. There are more concerns of that with Apple's iCloud services than any encryption but that's just my two cents:

Right now we're all focused on developing the Mac client which is proving to be complex due to Retina display support and OSX Mountain Lion's requirement to be registered as an Apple Developer.
