A question about seeds on torrents
« on: July 24, 2011, 12:49:48 AM »
Hi. I've a torrent running on utorrent 2.2.1 and on bolehvpn proxied route. It has 49 seeds and 300 peers. The vpn is setup nicely and is working. Trackers are working fine. Ive read the Topic: Speed Troubleshooting Guide (covers slow/inconsistent/pickup problems).
My question is this: Why can't i connect to any of the seed? Thanks.

It would help us help you if you provided your log and screenshots of your uTorrent settings (Connection bandwidht bittorrent queuing).

By the sounds of it however you probably won't be getting good speeds at all with those seeder / peer ratios. Do you have access to IPTorrents? If so, try checking if the same torrent can be found there?

That doesn't look like a full log, you're connecting to Proxied - All? Try enabling proxy for hostname lookups (Preferences > Connection) and disabling bandwidth management (uTP), might help with your speeds.

Problem still persists. 50 seeds and 800 peers and not connecting to any of them.

Take a screen shot of the torrent you're trying to download make sure you click the tracker tab at the bottom.if you have access to iptorrents, try looking for the same torrent there.
