Title: Got Some questions ;D
Post by: franky1835 on May 19, 2008, 10:40:06 AM
hye guys, i saw this sites service is very good ... ;)

here my question... ;D

i got the stupid streamyx connection with 2mbps down and 512kbps up. i read some articles in some torrent sites about the up & down speed.... which should be like this:

[download speed] 2048kbps/8 = 256 kB/s
[upload speed] 512kbps/8 = 64 kB/s

1) as per we know, we won't get the full speed, if i use vpn service will i get the full speed on download and upload ? ???

i would like state my torrent speed rate that i get normally :

[download speed] >>> am not sure b'coz am not usually downloadin  ;D
[upload speed/ seeding speed] >>> 3kB/s -10kB/s ( around 10am until 1am) AND 10kB/s - 40kB/s (Around 1am until 10am---- Not stable)

2) If i use VPN, can i reach the seeding speed at 50kB/s - 60kB/s around full day ?

Dude, you need to read this first: http://www.bolehvpn.net/forum/index.php/topic,61.0.html.

You need to understand the concept of seeders/leechers/peers availability first. It doesn't matter what your upload speed can achieve if there's no one leeching from you.

If you still do not understand after reading then you can ask more questions, and someone might be willing to answer you. :)

1) in general, vpn only open a hole for p2p, not speed them up
like LC said, concept of seeders/leechers/peers availability

2) again, concept of seeders/leechers/peers availability
