The above error can be caused by several possible factors or a combination of these factors:

1) Bad line quality (nothing we can do)
2) An internet route that is experiencing loss (that means data is being lost in the route) (generally nothing we can do though can be alleviated by finding a good IP range)
3) An inactive connection (working as intended but can be reduced)

For 1 and 2, this problems tend to be caused by the ISP and is more or less beyond our control.

Number 3 is not actually a problem but just a way of the system detecting inactive connections. Sometimes, during days where the connection is bad, and loss is high, the server incorrectly detects that you have disconnected and terminates the connection prematurely also resulting in the error above.

However number 3 can be rectified or reduced by keeping the VPN connection utilized, which means continuing to seed, download or do things that go through the VPN. This does not have to be high bandwidth, and can be just seeding a few torrents. The effect of this is that the system detects that the connection is being utilized and therefore does not disconnect you.

This reduces the annoying fluctuating yellow - green problem. However we recommend to keep our service sustainable to all, it is advised to disconnect your VPN if you are not using it to free slots for other people.
