Title: Google DNS - Thread.
Post by: Indingo on August 21, 2014, 04:18:58 AM
I am making a non-specific thread again addressing the issue of Google DNS on BolehVPN servers;

I wanted to open up a separate thread due to my other ones being specific to servers and not the whole problem, I think it would be better to have one place to discus Google DNS on "ALL" servers which have it enabled as DNS rather then just talking about specific servers. It was getting a little confused and jumbled in the other threads.

I still notice many of the servers running Google DNS as a default for what ever reason, I have brought the issue up many times about why that is a problem, and some solutions. I don't understand why months later this is still an issue and a good number of servers are still running Google DNS which time & time again can be linked to many security issues and problems for a VPN service. Its actually one of my first points of interest when looking into a VPN company, I look into what companies host their servers and the DNS services they use, Google and OpenDNS being the two worst in terms of privacy. I never noticed a single GoogleDNS server on BolehVPN's servers before a year ago, and they never had problems before, why the sudden jump to Google DNS? I just hope you listen and try and figure out a better alternative because for a privacy service as great as yours, it really lacks in this department.
