China is very strict on VPN usage; in fact they have built the Firewall. About Russia, it is new to me if they also disallow vpns and tor.

It's your default gateway's IP address (which is usually your router). It can change if your router is using a different IP address.

This line does not apply to us as we are using a certificate-based authentication instead of a password-based one.

What are these? and what do they mean?

Unfortunately we no longer have a server in China, as we couldn't guarantee acceptable performance due to the great firewall.
