Connection Problems Using "FullyRouted-Canada"
« on: January 27, 2014, 09:14:47 AM »
Hi,

I seem to be having problems connecting with "FullyRouted-Canada" via the latest BolehVPN software (2.4.1). When it connects, I can't seem to open any sites with my browser or check for new e-mail messages. This doesn't happen when I select for example the "SurfingStreaming-EastUS" connection. I also make sure to update the configuration at startup.

Here's my VPN log file:

SUCCESS: download 15580 bytes user profile to local.

SUCCESS: download 17442 bytes config file to local.

SUCCESS: download 794 bytes update information to local.

Version Server: 2.4.1

Version Current: 2.4.1

Looks like it's just the Canada servers, could be your routing. Try the FullyRouted-TCP-Canada server and see if this helps

When I try connecting using "FullyRouted-TCP-Canada" I get an error (see attachment).

Here's a copy of my log file:

Version Current: 2.4.1

Options error: --nobind doesn't make sense unless used with --remote
Use --help for more information.

Ah, looks like that server was removed. My bad.

Do you get this issue on the other servers? Do you need the Canada servers specifically?

Not a problem, Chris.

Other than FullyRouted-Canada I really only use the "SurfingStreaming-US" connections and they've never been a problem. I do use the Canadian servers regularly since I'm located in Canada, so it makes it easier for me with sites like Netflix or the iTunes Store.

Hmm, try the XCloakRouted-Canada servers then. Post your new logs if you still encounter issues on that server. Other than that, the alternative would be to use EU servers I suppose.

Looks like the FullyRouted-Canada connection has been working fine for the last few days... Thanks anyway...
