Is this scheduled task (Win7 64bit) ok?
« on: January 27, 2012, 06:56:46 PM »
Hi,
so I have BolehVPN subscription, and usually I have used the Boleh interface. But as it would be more convenient to start connection automatically everytime I log in, I set up this kind of command in Windows scheduled tasks, which runs everytime I log in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenVPN\bin\openvpn-gui-1.0.3.exe --connect Proxied-Netherlands.ovpn --silent_connection 1

1. Now it seems to work perfectly fine, but I started wondering if I am using my Boleh credentials as I should. I do connect, so its fine, right?
2. There is no BolehVPN.exe running in Windows processes, instead there is that openvpn-gui-1.0.3.exe. Does that make any difference, I mean isn't that just the frontend - or what you call it - for the service?

Mucha appreciated if someone would answer my dumb questions  :), thanks!

That should be alright.

BolehVPN gui is build around the OpenVPN client. Updating configurations will be much be easier with just a click.

It's the same thing as manually extracting your keys to the config folder. But some people still find it hard to do this even with the guide provided.
