Author Topic: Secure, Non-tracking, Non-traceable, Anonymous Email Provider Based Outside US?  (Read 15626 times)

With Snowden's email provider shutting down due to court pressure, one can safely assume that any US based email company will either collapse under court pressure or give your information away when it comes to trying to snoop your info. Are there any email providers that are reliable, safe, anonymous and based outside of the US? Preferebly in some country known for it's non-compliance to US orders, so that rules out most of Europe, Israel and Japan.

Sweden is known to be a US supporter, as was proven by the Julian Assange case.

I think the question should be who is not a USA supporter? LOL...

Well USA or not I'm wondering if riseup might be a good choice?

At this point in time the only safe place I can think of is Iceland and even Kim Dotcom is considering move some business there;

I found these guys in Italy, looks very interesting;

This might be a good idea, pay for inexpensive offshore hosting to use the email address...

Here's a webhost in Iceland that accepts Bitcoins and gives you 3 email accounts on their lower plan;

I just found this mail.be https://www.mail.be/ in Belgium which is owned by ContactOffice and they say they follow the same guidelines and I found the Security link on ContacOffice.be very interesting in regards to Prism and a link for that as well;

https://be.contactoffice.com/virtual-office/en/product/features/security.jsp

I've been told mail.be is going to over encrypted email soon.

For something to look at in the future, StartMail sounds really promising;

https://beta.startmail.com/

Instead of Gmail Hotmail or Yahoo account as an example, I think mail.be sounds like a pretty safe bet for the momet to switch to. I was told by mail.be that they delete everything off the server when you close an account with them...

Looks good, Reuben, but I don't use Linux, nor can I leave the computer on 24 hours a day.

What about Bitmessage? Looks as awesome as Bitcoin! Too bad it's not email. http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-06-27/bitmessages-nsa-proof-e-mail
