Powerfull Power supply needed

I currently have a 500w cooler master....and its powering the 8800 gts, two hard drives, dvd writer, and main pc, is this enough?can i get a 1000 w power supply? ???

I think 500w is more than enough. Mine is 450w and it can support till 6hdd (2 ide + 4 sata), 1 dvdrom, 1 dvdrw, the other normal hardwares, 2 build in fan for the hdd plus 2 usb mini fan and my power supply box can give out disco lights as well. I read before about the 1000w thingy and it can support 24hdds :o

not to mention i still have the 3.5" disk drive on my cpu :D
