ISP email error

when trying to send an email I get this error:

An error occurred sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting:  imp11 smtp.charter.net OTQuMjQyLjIxMy4yNTI= You must connect from Charter IP space.  E1110.
My provider is Charter.net

amy ideas on what to do?

i fixed it by switching servers

winddrift03: This is because your ISP requires you to have your original ISP address to send mail using their ISP e-mail to prevent spammers using their SMTP server. Not much we can do there unfortunately.
