Being disconnected when not downloading with Proxy-All

I am being disconnect a lot recently when using Proxy-All. I have set up auto connect to Proxy-All as a Win7 task to auto run at logon to windows. So that I don't have to manually connect to VPN every time. Now I have manually connect. Why is this? Because I am not downloading, so you disconnect me?

If you have somehow blocked pings the VPN would think you're disconnected since there's no data flowing so it thinks it's inactive. If pings are allowed then the keepalive ping would keep it on.

Thanks for the reply. I still have the same problem after all this time. I changed firewall settings in the router to allow ping from WAN, and yet still I got disconnected. I have a log of OVPN for you. I will post another log with the actual disconnect error in it later, but the following log I gathered today does seem to contain some errors anyway.

This is usually shown when you quit or when something else kills the connection.
Is your network adapter set to power save or turn off during inactivity?

I don't think I changed anything from my PC. It just happened one day and after that. Do you know the command argument to disconnect OVPN? I use "--connect Proxied-All.ovpn" to connect to proxy-all automatically now. I want to auto disconnect it and then auto re-connect again bypass this issue.

You could use our GUI instead, which will auto-reconnect you whenever you lose your connection to our servers. And since you're using the proxied connection, you don't have to worry about your applications using your normal line if the VPN goes down.

If your program is correctly configured to use the proxy, it should fail if the VPN connection goes down without reverting back to your normal connection.

you can give it a go by having your VPN disconnect purposely and see if your program still communicates.

Remember proxied-all requires additional configuration as detailed in our guide.
