Have you heard about celcom broadband offering 3.6Mbps at rm98? I am thinking whether it works with bolehvpn and if it works, is there possibility of upgrading the standard package?

I have heard of this. Getting bolehvpn to work should be easy, but getting that 3.6mbps is another story altogether.

Not to mention download limits. I'm sure someone using this setup can give a better picture.

3.6 mbps :p heh

don't put your hopes up. highly misleading and unless you got the 'coverage' which they almost certainly will say you do, you won't get even close to that speed.

Pit Boss manages to get good speed on his Maxis 3.5G in his kitchen though.

I have been using this Celcom package for more than 4 months.
All I can say is the speed sucks.
Top rate recorded about 900 to 600 Kbps in Kota Kinabalu.

There is no problem in using VPN with this.
