One of our providers due to high traffic and the vast number of connections being made on the Nelson server were under the impression that we were performing DDoS attacks.
They have shutdown our server pending investigation and we have already submitted our explanation that their so called ‘targets of attack’ are actually our customers.
As only senior members of the technical support team have the authority to remove nullroutes, they would only be able to look into the matter sometime this evening during their office hours.
The remaining servers are coping well with our other servers able to take up the slack. Genesis is however at max load so you may want to switch to a different server to help ease the load.
Update: Server has been restored though we are still in discussions with them as to how to prevent this from happening again in the future.
