Donation to the Rescue Mission at Pulau Ketam

After speaking to one of the Rescue Mission Reps, Zalina, I have decided to make a personal donation of 300 USD to the cause.

The money has been sent!

You have sent $300.00 USD to tvsmith@gmail.com.
We have sent you a receipt for this transaction, and an email has been sent to your recipient.

She answered the following questions and assuaged my concerns:

  1. The dogs rescued will be treated back to full health and sent to the Furry Friend’s Farm where there is PLENTY OF SPACE and Sabrina will take care of them with the intention of finding them a loving home.
  2. The dogs will NOT be put down. This is a last resort only if the dog is dying or too badly injured.
  3. I was told that the total collection now is 8-10 k ish Ringgit Malaysia which isn’t really much when you consider boat trips, dog food, hiring workers to catch dogs, doctors, medicine and caring them back to full health.

They really need dog food so if any of you want to donate that instead, that is also ok! I hope you guys can contribute a little as well.

  1. Iconoclast says:

Thanks for the update, Reuben. I have already donated $50 USD but after reading your reassuring post, I will donate a larger sum hopefully in the next 24 hours after managing to get others interested in this plight. And kudos for your very generous donation. Here’s hoping others will follow your lead.

  2. ShadowTek says:

    That’s some pretty sick shit.

  3. ShadowTek says:

Yeah, go ahead and delete the preceding post that I was responding to and leave mine so that I sound like like an out of place loony.

  4. Reuben says:

Aw Shadow 😛 I was told that the link that Txrx put in was rather offensive so I removed it 😛

  5. ShadowTek says:

Yeah, he linked to a video of dogs being beaten, stabed, gutted, skinned, all kinds of ill BS, all of it being a part of some kind of short documentary on how dogs are prepared as food by some people.

The poster wasn’t clear as to weather he was accusing the rescue mission of deception or what, but it was a needlessly depressing video to see.

  6. Iconoclast says:

Shadow, the poster is/was the infamous waste-of-skin “txrx”, so yeah, the link was probably his source of daily masturbatory fantasies. Frankly, only people who get off on such barbarity would bother posting such links, or know of their existence in the first place.
