I am getting the error message "Bad link to rTorrent. Check if it is really running." What is happening?

Generally, if you have obtained this message, it means your ruTorrent interface is not running generally due to several reasons:

Disk space quota reached.
(rutorrent will be unable to start until some space is cleared)
rutorrent screen crashed or was not started

Therefore, you will need to start a new screen for rtorrent or some may call, restart it.

How do I start a new screen for rtorrent? (Restarting rtorrent)

For this, you will require to SSH into your Seedbox. First, obtain an SSH client such as PuTTY.

Then proceed to follow these steps:

Enter the server's specific host name (server.bolehvpn.net) and the port number 22. Also select SSH as connection type. When you are done, click on Open. Save your configuration if necessary.

Login using your own user credentials.
Type screen -r to see whether there are any screen running. If there are dead screens, type screen -wipe to clear it. In the case where you are brought to another screen/interface, you can just hold down CTRL+Q to quit it.
If there are no screens, enter sh startrt.sh to start a screen.

You should be able to see the rTorrent interface after the previous step as above. Hold down CTRL+A+D to detach the screen, then finally, exit.

How do I check the amount of disk space used?

Since we have not installed any plug-ins for this yet, the easiest way to do this would be via an SSH client like PuTTY.

Enter the server's specific host name (server.bolehvpn.net) and the port number 22. Also select SSH as connection type. When you are done, click on Open. Save your configuration if necessary.

Login using your own user credentials.
Type "du -skh" to check the total space used. Alternatively, if you wish to view specific entries in your download folder, enter "du -h ./download/*" instead.

My FTP transfer speed is low. What are my alternatives?

BolehVPN also offers HTTP download from the Seedbox. However the use of it needs to be carefully moderated in order not to clog up the server. The number of simultaneous connection should be limited to 4.

Can I install any sort of plugins on the Seedbox (rutorrent)?: Plugins can be installed upon request. However, not all plugins are available. Again, please drop us an email for any plugin installation requests.
