I would need PPTP support for use with my tablet (iPad/Touchpad)
Any plans to support this protocol?

But PPTP is giving iPhone and iPad using Maxis problem. The VPN service just can't connect. Any chance this can be rectified?

It's actually a problem on the Telco side...They block PPTP connections. We'll revisit this at a later juncture as L2TP didn't even work fully as well so there's no other 'default' options.

The only 3G provider giving pptp to ipad and iphone is umobile. Maxis/Digi confirmed cannot work with pptp. Maxis block GRE protocol which needs to be active to run pptp or l2tp.

L2TP was working fine at least for me, since you switched to PPTP I'm cannot connect via maxis, why don't u guys put L2TP server back online? so we can connect to it via 3G and use more secure and fully working PTPP server on wifi networks???

As I understand it the GRE block was a recent development on Maxis but let me confirm with Pit Boss on this. If this is the case reverting to L2TP would not solve the issue.

The alternative would be to jailbreak.

I'll keep you posted.

Confirmed that L2TP has now been blocked as well.
