Also, something to mind about, for those of you who had increased your system font size, the text field of this client isn’t big enough to occupy all that text, hence making it look crippled.

Some of you Seedbox users may have already some downtime and errors while using your Seedbox since the day before; we were testing a newer version of rtorrent 0.9.0, which didn’t turn out really well as we received reports that it does not fare well with some private trackers’ policies. Therefore we moved down to version 0.8.9.

And just not long ago, we’ve completed the update. Your Seedboxes should be able to deal with magnet links now. As most of you may have already known, magnet uri requires DHT in order to look for peers and metadata. Although, you may want to disable DHT out of your own preference if you decided not to use magnet links ever. (Options > BitTorrent > Untick “Enable DHT Network”)

A shout out to all those BolehVPN Seedbox users out there, do not hesitate to contact us via email or on the support forums if you do encounter any sort of trouble while on rtorrent 0.8.9.

Home of our new Customer Portal

Over the coming weeks we will bring up our new portal system which should be more user friendly. This order server will also be hosted on a brand new server in a new datacenter which we find has excellent connectivity and hopefully will result in less payment issues.

Meanwhile our order system has been up after what appears to be a network switch failure in the Cyberjaya datacenter in which it is hosted in and for some reason took them several hours to resolve. You know la…Malaysia Boleh…

We are launching a Romanian server soon and hope to have it up by the end of the week. To be honest, I didn’t know much about Romania when I was considering a new country to host a server, but a quick google search shows the following: ” “Famous for the gorgeous plentiful women, Dracula, amazing food and liquors”. That’s good enough for me!

It is also noted that recent Romanian rulings are in favour of privacy, where in a recent decision a law was passed which mandated the retention of certain data, this has been overruled as being unconstitutional.

The Constitutional Court also noted that the traffic data is personal data: “even though Law No. 298/2008 refers to data with a predominantly technical character, these are retained with the scope of providing information regarding a person and his private life”.
