Hi… Should I uninstall the previous version first or can I just install over it? Tks.

@Andrew: Always safer to uninstall but it should be ok to install over it.

Hi guys, which server best to connect for utorrents?
the list kinda blur me, please help…
June 29th, 2011 at 10:52 pm
I can’t open megaupload site if I connect trhough proxied all
why?
I would like to know which is best for utorrents too

No such thing as best server for utorrent, for me I use a script file to determine the best latency to each server (each time I have a new set of IP) then remark all others and connect to the specific one only.
Btw I use OpenVPN GUI and manually doing the editing on the VPN configuration files.

WildwestGoh – Care to share that script?

haha, you’ll need to know the basic command prompt and some understanding of the ping information.
Below is some basic thing I do.
Create a file ended with extension of “.bat”
Edit using notepad and add following lines, you can adjust it to your liking (or taste?):
ping mystic.bolehvpn.net
ping nl2.bolehvpn.net
……
Basic right? now lets add some features so it output to a file:
@echo off
echo start of file >ping-result.txt
ping mystic.bolehvpn.net >>ping-result.txt
ping nl2.bolehvpn.net >>ping-result.txt
…..
> : write and replace file
>> : write and append to file
Note: … means there’s more you should find out about it from those configuration file (.ovpn)
Well, those are just basic of command prompt if you know what you’re doing, and reading the result from the ping, just look at the reply number, basically latency with lower number the better.
To run this script you need an idle Internet to get the best result.

After I update new GUI and new config, I seem cannot get connected
Already give administrator right to program.

@Arz :same problem too. I can’t connect to any server. Even connected the p2p doesn’t seems to run at all
July 3rd, 2011 at 9:51 pm
suggested logic/UI changes:
1. when gui window state normal, pressing close button minimizes it
2. “connect using” always defaults to last selected successful connect
3. disable message prompt when exit; currently a shut down in win7 is halted just because gui is connected
4. if gui window state normal but in background of other apps, double-clicking on system tray gui icon doesn’t focus/activate the gui

Emily: did you get this resolved?

Dear Jacob,
Try this:
http://www.bolehvpn.net/forum/index.php?topic=1747.0
This is a very rare error but since it took us hours to identify the problem, posting it here:
If you get this error in your tracker status:
Quote
Proxy connect error: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.
Your utorrent is probably corrupted. Uninstall your current version of utorrent and and download the latest utorrent. Remember to uninstall and delete all previous settings.
The problem should be fixed.
