There appears to be a interruption in Streamyx’s link to Europe resulting in heavy loss and dropped connections.
This has happened at exactly the same time on all our Europe based servers in different datacentres and furthermore European sites refuse to load properly or do so very slowly. Corporate lines on TMNet are also affected so it appears to be a major routing issue.
European/UK based sites are refusing to load in a timely manner. Some examples:
US sites also showed a degradation in speed.
We will keep you updated on any new developments. Meanwhile stay calm and start calling TM’s support lines!
Update 4:55 PM
Speed seems to be recovering steadily.
Update 2:05 AM 21 December 2008
TM seems to have rerouted Europe traffic through US resulting in increased latency because of the undersea cable damage in India that connects Asia with Europe. This has helped somewhat but don’t expect entirely reliable connections or speeds as the lines are absolutely congested at the moment.
